ARF is proud to introduce a new initiative highlighting a more responsible and sustainable travel offer in Quebec, developed by its receptive and tour operator members.

Sustainability in tourism is a journey, not a destination. A perfectly sustainable trip does not exist. However, it is possible to make conscious choices throughout the travel value chain. ARF-Québec member agencies are rethinking certain aspects of their offers and taking concrete steps to help reduce their impacts. Our project is rooted in a spirit of continuous improvement. Above all, we believe it is important to take action —one step at a time— while committing for the long term. Because sustainability is built collectively, gradually, and with intention.

In collaboration with Passion Terre, a sustainable tourism consulting agency, ARF-Québec has developed a validation checklist bringing together good practices. This tool, which is neither a certification nor an official attestation, is intended as a shared reference to support Quebec tour operators and receptive agencies in their sustainability journey. But everyone is invited to refer to it and download it: ATR and ATS, suppliers or tour operators, as well as travelers!
